Welcome to the First Baptist Church website for estate planning.

Being a faithful steward of one’s resources should not end when your days on earth are complete. There are many ways to continue building and advancing the Kingdom through stewardship of one’s estate at their passing.

Our church has partnered with the Florida Baptist Foundation to help you understand and learn more about how you can advance our church’s current and future ministries.

The Florida Baptist Foundation, the Trust Agency of the Florida Baptist Convention, was established in 1957 to provide churches and individuals the most tax efficient and effective ways of planning for future generations of ministry.

Our church has established an Endowment Fund with the Florida Baptist Foundation. The purpose of our endowment is to provide a means for our church to extend its’ ministry beyond the resources that are possible through current giving. Our endowment is a clear statement that we are preparing ourselves for the mission of reaching people for Jesus Church well into the future.

Our church has established a Church Endowment Fund which will provide future generations with adequate resources to continue the work and ministries of our church.
Your heart may be drawn into more than one ministry, here are a few suggestions.

  1. Missions Fund – Earnings will be used to support the various mission activities our church either sponsors or supports financially, either directly (church sends funds) or the income goes directly to the ministry (i.e. Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, State Missions etc).

  2. Community Ministries Fund – Earnings are used to support various ministries in and around our local area, such as feeding shelters, disaster relief ministries, and local Baptist associations.

  3. Church Endowment Fund - Earnings are unrestricted and used at the discretion of the church to support the various ministries and activities of our church. 

  4. Education and Scholarship Assistance – Earnings are used to assist students from our church, association, or seminary with scholarship assistance. 

  5. Personal Endowment Fund – Earnings are used to support several ministries with annual gifts. You select a number of ministries and the Foundation divides out the gifts on an annual basis.
